Independent Luthiery provides full service guitar repair. My goal is to provide quality work, delivered on time, for a fair price. I only work with top quality suppliers and use American made components wherever possible. Independent Luthiery is located in historic Salem, Ma; 15mi north of Boston. My name is Gabriel Viani. After 15 plus years of part time guitar repair and 7 years of full time employment with a large scale instrument manufacturer I decided to start my own full time venture; Independent Luthiery .
I truly enjoy providing personalized service that is all about making your instruments work their best for your playing style. Every player is an individual and so is every instrument. Getting the most from your instrument allows you to get the most from your playing. I work with musicians from all genres, from bluegrass to doom. Both acoustic and electric instruments are always welcome and vintage is a specialty.
